The Whalesong Festival is a celebration
for all to experience and enjoy
what the Southwest has to offer
in its natural beauty and community spirit.

Friday: Opening Ceremony

Augusta Singrays and Augusta Ukuleles at Whale Tail. Free sausage sizzle kindly being provided by Augusta Men’s Shed.

Starting after 10am:

The Augusta Hotel will also be offering a delicious selection of ocean based food to be enjoyed with a selection of craft and traditional beers and the best wines the region has to offer. All while enjoying the most spectacular views of the Blackwood River and Southern Ocean.

The Blessing of the Fleet is a tradition that began centuries ago in Mediterranean fishing communities.
The practice began as predominantly Catholic but is now practiced by Christians as a blessing from local celebrants and pastors that is meant to ensure a safe and bountiful maritime season.
Our festival features more than three days of
celebration for everyone to enjoy.

Whale of a Time: Community Mural Project
Saturday 30th May -S/W cnr of Ellis St and Blackwood Ave
Help Jo Hayes from PICS Studio Augusta to paint the new town centre mural during Whalesong weekend.
Locals and visitors will have the chance to add their own creative ‘splash’ on the 18 meter Ellis street wall.
